Pride and Prejudice
The aim of this lesson is to update a selecten scene from Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" to the 21st century. Students will produce a script with dialogue and stage directions. After a group has performed their adaptation, the rest of the class gives feedback. They will reflect on the universal themes of the novel and why it is considered classic literature, in spite of its sexist assumptions. There is a vocabulary section with recorded pronunciation.
